OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2012. Recently, State Council approved Central Plains Economic Zone Planning, in which five cities, one county and one districts in North Anhui were successfully included. Speeding up the development of North Anhui has entered into national strategy and revitalizing North Anhui will usher in rare strategic opportunity.

Revitalizing North Anhui is essential to the development of the whole province. In recent years, CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and Anhui Government has been adhering to speeding up the development of North Anhui as important points of integrating regional development. North Anhui has been on the track of fast and sound development. Especially since this year, facing complicated macro-economic environment from home and abroad, major economic indicators of North Anhui grew fast and North Anhui continued to keep stable development.

"Central Plains Economic Zone Planning provides a historic opportunity for Huaibei" said Wang Dongfeng, deputy director of Huaibei Municipal Development & Reform Commission.

Opportunity! It is the strongest response of the people of North Anhui to entrance of the planning.

Admittedly, North Anhui seemed to be free from great strategic opportunity for years. But this time the dream of revitalizing North Anhui is fueled.

"North Anhui will take lead in development and open-up and become a new zone of regional development." said Chen Qitao, deputy secretary general of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and director of North Anhui Office, excitedly.

In 2008 and 2010, Anhui Provincial Government issued two "10 opinions" to support North Anhui respectively. At the end of 2011, a series of policies were issued in favor of North Anhui, based on borrowing the experience of North Jiangsu.

Through the efforts of Anhui, the planning scope of Anhui is only second to Henan. "It is the awareness of development and opportunity that makes North Anhui board the ship of Central Plains Economic Zone." said Chen Qitao.
