OREANDA-NEWS. December 5, 2012. Tata Steel Processing and Distribution (TSPDL) has attained Gold level re-certification in the Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP).

The certification emphasises TSPDL’s commitment to collaborate with Caterpillar’s objective to implement a culture of zero defects and high-performance across its supply base.

The Caterpillar SQEP provides the means for recognising supplier quality excellence for a world-class supply base. This process combines industry-proven quality system and process management requirements from ISO/TS16949:2002 with results to ensure expected supplier capacity and performance. Recognition levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, reflected in order of increasing difficulty, distinguish outstanding supplier quality performance.
