Moldova Increased Power Purchase by 2,1%
OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2012. In monetary terms the purchases grew 20.7% to 2 bln. 686.3 ml. leis due to an increase in the selling price for power, the National Energy Regulatory Agency informs. In January-September, 2012 RED Nord bought from domestic and external power producers close to 486.4 mln. kWh, 0.5% up as compared with the same period of 2011.
RED Nord-Vestbought 256,9 mln. kWh,3.2% up, RED Union Fenosa purchasing 2 bln.155.3 mln. kWh, 2.3% up. Inner producers sold 518.4 mln. kWh, 8.8% down as compared with the same period of the last year.
External producers sold Moldova 4.8% more power at an amount of 2 bln. 380.2 mln. kWh. In particular, the import grew by 1.9% at 400.2 mln. kWh at RED Nord ; 8.4% to 208 mln. kWh at RED Nord-Vest and 5% to 1 bln. 772.1 mln. kWh at RED Union Fenosa. Moldova, Transdniestria excluded, generate no more the one third of power needed at their own power generating facilities at heating stations 1 and 2 and at Costesti’s hydro power plant.
The missing amounts are purchased according to contracts from the Moldovan Hydro Power plant located in Transdniestria and DTK Power-Trade, a member of DTEK, the largest Ukrainian private energy producer.
