OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2012. The recertification audit of the environmental management system has been successfully carried out at JSC "Nizhnekamskshina", which belongs to the petrochemical complex of JSC TATNEFT, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The audit of the Joint Stock Company to meet the requirements of the environmental management system was performed by experts of "Republican Certification Methodological Center "Test-Tatarstan" (OS ISM TatSert, Kazan) and "Test-St.-Petersburg" (Test-St.Peterburg Co.Ltd)

All significant environmental aspects were subjected to verification, including implementation of the goals and challenges arising from the Environmental Policy and Environmental Protection Program adopted for 2012-2014; execution of laws and regulations, procedures ensuring maintaining documented procedures; analysis of the EMS functioning on the part of the management; evaluation of the system performance efficiency and identification of its possible improvement.

The audit also verified the readiness of "Nizhnekamskshina" to emergency situations, accidents and response in the railway workshop, operations control at assembly shop No. 1, at the power equipment maintenance shop and at "Energoshinservis."

The audit has revealed that the environmental management system complies with the requirements of GOST R ISO 14001:2007 (ISO 14001:2004), the Commission considers it possible to issue an IQNet certificate of conformity for 3 years relating to the production of tires for various types of vehicles and agricultural machinery.

Environmental protection and environmental management, environmental improvement and compliance with the environmental safety requirements in the light of the current environmental legislation including the requirements of international standards are ones of the priorities of JSC "Nizhnekamskshina" activities.

The environmental management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 14001:2004 has been introduced at the Joint Stock Company since December 2006. Implementation and operation of the system has been confirmed by the IQNet conformance certificate and permission to use the conformity mark of the integrated management system.
