OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2012. Since the beginning of 2012 the largest Ukrainian bank PrivatBank has paid over UAH1 billion of taxes and dues. As of November 1st, 2012 total amount of tax and social security payments, transferred by the Bank to the budgets of all levels, was UAH1 billion 105 million.

PrivatBank has transferred over UAH665 million as single social installment to the State Pension Fund and social funds year-to-date. Over UAH200 million of direct tax proceeds more were forwarded to the state budget.

There is also significant support from the bank for all cities where its branches operate. Year-to-date proceeds of the bank employees’ individual income taxes, that are transferred to the local budgets directly, amount to UAH259 million, and proceeds of land taxes - UAH5.4 million. For example, PrivatBank has transferred nearly UAH20 million to the Kyiv municipal budget, in Lviv - UAH10 million, and in Odesa, Sympheropil and Poltava the each municipal treasury was increased by UAH5 million.

In Ukraine PrivatBank is the largest bank and the leader of retail banking market. Daily the bank serves over 2 million customers. As at October 1st, 2012 the bank’s assets amounted to UAH164.563 billion, loan portfolio - UAH111.6 billion, liabilities – UAH 46.808 billion, equity – UAH17.754 billion, net profit – UAH991.175 million.
