OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2012. Following the results of 9 months of 2012 the profit of the largest Ukrainian bank PrivatBank remains the highest among banks of the country and amounts to UAH991.175 million, as the bank’s press service reported. At the same time, according to the National bank of Ukraine, the overall income of banking system as of October 1st 2012 was UAH2,775 million, actually for the 9 months of the year PrivatBank has earned more than a third of total profit of the banking system.

According to the bank’s information for the nine-month period PrivatBank has increased its net profit by 1.2% as compared to the respective period of 2011. For the indicated period the bank’s assets have increased by 13% up to UAH164.563 billion as of October 1st 2012, the loan portfolio - by 11% up to UAH111.6 billion, the liabilities - by 14% up to UAH146.808 billion, the share capital - by 10% up to UAH14.898 billion, the equity capital has increased by 6% – up to UAH17.754 billion.

According to the NBU, 175 banks are licensed to proceed banking business in Ukraine at present day. As for October 1st 2012 the total capital of Ukrainian banks amounted to UAH167.2 billion, the assets - to UAH1,121.1 billion.
