Investments in Long-Term Tangible Assets Declined 0,7% in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the slight decline was determined by fewer investments made in long-term tangible assets by enterprises of the non-public sector.
In particular, investments in equipment, machines, transport mean made up 3 bln. 745 mln. leis in January-September, 2012, 3.7% down as compared with he same period of the past year and 45% of a total volume of investments in long-term tangible assets made during this period. Investments in building and assembly works made up 3 bln. 943.3 mln. leis, 0.8% up as compared with the same period of 2011 and 47.3% of a total amount of investments.
An amount of other works and capital expenditures made up a sum of 639.7 mln. leis in the first 9 months of 2012, 22.8% up and 7.7% of all investments made in long-term tangible assets of Moldova. In the structure of investments in long-term tangible assets about 36.1% of a total sum fell on state enterprises, which drew 3 bln. 006.9 mln. leis, 27.9% more than in the same period of 2011. A share of investments in companies of the private sector made up 40.6% (3 bln. 382.6 mln. leis), 9.4% down as compared with indicators of the past year.
Overseas investments were 612.2 mln leis, 32.4% down. They made up 7.4% of a total amount of the investments. Own funds of legal entities and individuals remained the main sources of investments into tangible assets in this period, making 5 bln. 170 mln. leis, or 62.1% of the total sum. As compared with the same period of the past year, they decreased 8.7% as compared with the same period of 2011. Investments from budget funds were 687.9 mln leis, 8.2% of a total sum.
In the structure of investments their greatest amount fell to equipment, machines and transport means, making 45% of a total volume and 4.4 p.p. down as compared with the 9 months of 2011. Investments in buildings and engineering constructions made up the 29.6% share of a total amount of the investments, including 12.3% made in residential construction and 17.3% in other facilities. This was 3 p.p. down as compared with the same period of the last year.
