OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2012. Ukraine will reach production of 30 billion cubic meters of shale gas in 5-10 years. This was started by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at the Ukrainian-Norwegian business forum.

"We expect that we will reach a production of 20-30 billion cubic meters of shale gas in next 5-10 years", Mykola Azarov said.

He stressed that the process of shale gas production is rather complicated. However, Ukraine has already held talks with world leaders in production of hydrocarbons and will soon become their extraction.

However, the Prime Minister said that reserves of shale gas in Ukraine are quite big.
