OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2012. SAS, Scandinavia's leading airline, will in 2013 launch 45 new routes. This means that SAS will offer direct flights to exciting new destinations from all of the main airports. In addition to these new routes, SAS will also increase the frequency of current flights on a number of domestic and European routes. 9 out of 45 routes will be operated all year round, while 29 of them will be offered during the summer season and 7 – during the winter season, reported the press-centre of Vilnius Airport. 

"For the travellers from Lithuania the new routes from Copenhagen are most important as to this particular city we fly our passengers from Vilnius and Palanga airports 32 times a week", says Ruta Juciene, SAS Representative Manager, Lithuania.

New routes from Copenhagen will include regular flights to San Francisco, Budapest, Prague and Newcastle, also summer routes to Cagliari, Palermo, Alanya, Thessaloniki, Pula and Biarritz.

SAS is now operating 19 weekly flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen and 13 weekly flights between Palanga and Copenhagen

New routes from Sweden include the following: from Stockholm to Innsbruck, Pula, Palermo, Cagliari, Thessaloniki, Tel Aviv, Pristina and Alanya; from Gothenburg to Nice, Pristina and Ostersund.

New routes from Norway include the following: from Oslo to Salzburg, Berlin, Budapest, Santorini, Cagliari, Palermo, Pristina, Valencia, Malta, Lisbon, Athens, Tenerife and Pula; from Bergen to Dubrovnik and Antalya; from Trondheim to Split and from Stavanger to Antalya.

New routes from Finland include: from Helsinki to Paris, Rome, Prague, Geneva and Ostersund; from Turku to Kittila and from Tampere to Kittila.

In combination with the 45 new routes SAS also increase frequencies on many of its existing domestic and European routes in 2013.
