Aeroflot Released Traffic and Capacity Statistics for October and 10M
OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2012. JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for October and 10 months of 2012.
In October 2012passenger traffic increased by 24.2% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 1,557.1 ths passengers. International passenger traffic rose by 28.5% (+211.8 ths passengers) reaching 953.9 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 603.2 ths which is 17.8% more (+91.1 ths passengers) against October 2011.
Seat load factor in October 2012 reached 79.4%, revenue load factor totaled 65.8%.
Passenger turnover of the company went up by 22.2% against the same period in 2011 and reached 4,485 mln passenger-kilometers. International passenger turnover totaled 3,130 mln passenger-kilometers which is 29.9% more compared to the same period of 2011. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 7.5% against October 2011 and amounted to 1,355 mln passenger-kilometers.
Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 17,947 tonne which is 11.1% more compared to October 2011.
The results for first 10 months of 2012 show that the number of carried passengers increased by 25.9% (+3,055 ths passengers) to become 14,849 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 78.6%.Passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 42,256 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 20.0% (+7,034 mln pkm) increase compared with the results for 10 months of 2011.
