OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2012. The “New Higher Education Leaders” programme begins at the SKOLKOVO business school. The first module was opened by Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The “New Higher Education Leaders” programme is being implemented by the SKOLKOVO business school Education Development Centre by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The major part of the programme is dedicated to a project work and the goal is to form a new generation of managers in Russian universities. The programme participants are the representatives of top-management of the institutions of higher professional education.

The educational course comprises eight full-time modules during which participants are going to analyze the best cases of the university development and the most progressive management practices. At that the programme is based on the project approach: each participant will be engaged in working on a project connected with break-through development of single directions of the higher education in Russia. During intervals between the modules distant work on individual and group projects is stipulated. In the end of the programme the participants are to presents their projects.

The first module of the “New Higher Education Leaders” programme will be dedicated to the trends of higher professional education development. Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, his deputies Alexander Klimov, Alexander Povalko and Igor Fedukin, and Andrei Volkov, Dean of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, are going to perform for the participants.

“The Ministry has set the goal for the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO to make the programme that is full of content”, said Dmitry Livanov. “We are going to follow the successes and participate in the programme on different stages.”

Guest experts to visit the first module represent the major business field, they are Alexander Abramov, Chairman of Board of Directors at EVRAZ Group, Vladimir Pirozhkov, CEO at AstraRossa, Mikhail Pogosyan, President at UAK, Enio Omae, Senior Research and Development Vice-President at Education First, and others.
