Norway May Contribute Development of Oil & Gas Sector in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2012. Norway is ready to contribute the development of the oil and gas sector of Ukraine. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Energy of Norway P. Henriksen during a meeting of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov with representatives of the energy sector in Norway.
"We are ready to contribute to the development of the oil and gas sector of Ukraine. And the Norwegian companies must ensure that the conditions for investment in Ukraine attractive, and the market is transparent and predictable", said the Deputy Minister.
In turn, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov assured that it is to this state of the market Ukraine tends.
He stressed that by the end of the year Ukraine plans to apply to join the international initiative for transparency in the extractive industries.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine fulfills all the necessary actions in accordance with its participation in the European Energy Charter.
