OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2012. Continually developing the functionality of e-banking service Ukio bankas has attracted an increasing number of Eta bankas users: during January-October of this year the number of Eta bankas clients surged 20 per cent year on year and approached 164 thousand. Furthermore, the list of e-shops accepting payments via Eta bankas has been consistently expanded. “An online shopping has already become established in Lithuania as an alternative to usual shopping. This trend not only encourages the establishment of new businesses trading and providing services exceptionally online. We can see that even those business companies that have firmly established themselves in the area of traditional trade more and more often decide to set up e-shops as an additional sales channel. With a view to offering our clients the largest possible number of options of convenient payment online we consistently expand the list of e-shops accepting payments via Eta bankas,” Jolita Kiausiene, Director of Ukio bankas Electronic Banking Department, said.
At the end of October 2012 the total number of such e-shops accepting payments via Eta bankas approached 140. The e-shops offered this year to Ukio bankas e-banking clients include www.technorama.lt, www.beta.lt, www.officeday.lt, www.ticketmarket.lt, www.masinis.lt, www.post24.lt, www.novaturas.lt, www.siuntos24.lt, and others.
In January-October of this year, as against the respective period of 2011, the number of settlements at online shops via Eta bankas augmented by 60 per cent and turnover doubled up to LTL 6.2 million.
