Sales of Mobile Communication Services Increased 2.8% in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2012. In the first 9 months of 2012 the sales return from mobile communication services increased 2.8% to 2746.1 mln. leis in Moldova. According to the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information technologies, the greatest growth of 41% was recorded at Moldtelecom and made up 130.3 mln. leis.
Incomes of Moldcell increased 2.8% to 699.7 mln. leis, and incomes of Orange Moldova grew 1% approximately to 1 bln. 916.,1 mln. leis. At the same time, the average revenue per user (ARPU) decreased 3.8 % to 84.4 leis as compared with the end of 2011. Orange Moldova registered ARPU at an amount of 107.8 leis, Moldcell – -55.9 leis and Moldtelecom– 60.3 leis. Within 9 months of this year market shares of the three mobile communication operators did not changed significantly.
The greatest market share of 69.4% fell on Orange Moldova. Moldcell and Moldtelecom made market shares at an amount of 25.5% and 5.1% respectively.
