OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2012. In 2011-2012 Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Karelia and Automobile Roads Department of the republic have prepared and submitted applications for participation in the program of European Neighbourhood Partnership Instrument (ENPI) and the CBC Karelia Program within the following projects:

reconstruction of the road from Ihala to the state border through Raivio on the site from the 0th to the 14th kilometers involving €3,3 million within the program;

reparing works on the road from Louhi to Suopera on the site between the 110th and the 160th kilometers from the settlement of Paozersky to international border-crossing point Suopera involving €3,65 million within the program.

On results of consideration of applications on November, 15 the Automobile Roads Department and co-ordinating committee of CBC Karelia Program concluded the Agreement on assignment of the budget of the program for implementation of projects in 2013-2014. According to the developed project documentation within the scope of the reconstruction of the road from Ihala to the state border through Raivio on the site of the motorway it is expected to achieve parameters of the IVth technical category with construction of bituminous surfacing. Within the scope of reparing works on the road from Louhi to Suopera construction of the gravel-sand cushion and road metalling with dust-controlling additives, restoration of the drainage system, reorganization of water-carrying pipes, installation of traffic signs and retroreflective warning signs is expected.
