OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov predicts GDP growth in 2013 of about 3%. He said this during congratulation of the creative team of Interfax-Ukraine news agency on the 20th anniversary.

"We expect that we will have GDP growth of about 3%. With an optimistic situation – the GDP growth will be above. If the situation on the world market does not change, GDP growth will be slightly smaller, perhaps 2.4-2.5%", Mykola Azarov said.

At the same time, the Prime Minister said that the government expects healthy inflation in 2014. According to him, the government will not allow deflation, as it was last year. "Next year, we are actively lending implementation of large-scale projects, also the economy", Mykola Azarov said.
He said that because of that inflation can grow a little. "People should not be afraid of this, because the price of manufactured goods can increase not significantly. By food group, I do not think there will be any significant inflationary bursts may be 1 or 2%", the Prime Minister said.

Mykola Azarov said that the government is adjusting macroeconomic indicators in 2013 with the IMF. "We have our own vision of the future how Ukrainian economy will develop next year; the International Monetary Fund has its own vision. And right now, we have the process of convergence", Mykola Azarov summed up.
