OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2012. The excavator EKG-12A is the second machine supplied by Uralmashplant to Kachkanarsky GOK within the scope of technical reequipment of the mining plant. The first excavator is working at the active face for five months already and has reached the planned production capacity.

The new machines, supplied to Kachkanarsky GOK, feature all modern developments of Uralmashplant designers. These developments allow to increase service life of new excavators, to prevent damage of equipment and make operators' work more comfortable. Excavators are equipped with information system and automatic protection system, ergonomic cab, electric drive system with static converters. On request of the customer the new machine is equipped with upgraded hoist winch gear and visibility of operator is improved.

Start of trial operation of the new machine was dedicated to the 49th anniversary of Kachkanarsky GOK. Immediately after the official ceremony the excavator was put into operation: in less than two minutes a 130-ton dump truck body was loaded with ore. In the coming months the machine should reach the production level of 200-240 tonnes of ore per month.

 Representatives of Uralmashplant and Kachkanarsky GOK are now working at the program of further cooperation during the nearest future.
