Belarusian Mineral Fertilizer Output Reduced 3.2%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2012. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers decreased 3.2% on the year in January-September 2012 to 4.773 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told reporters.
The output of potash fertilizers decreased 4.8% on the year in January-September to 3.976 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 3.2% to 624,500 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went up 15.7% to 172,200 tonnes in the period.
Chemical fiber and filament production grew 4.4% to 176,000 tonnes.
Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 38.5% on the year in January-September 2012 to 66.684 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 7.817 billion at the NBB rate).
Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 29.7% of the average monthly output, or 1.472 trillion rubles (USD 172.567 million).
