OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2012. Belarus is due to accomplish a 33-million-euro investment project in Krichev to launch production of cement bonded particle boards in late 2013, the Ministry of Architecture and Construction told.

The new plant is in fact a converted meat-packing factory.

The major investor and developer is CJSC Belzarubezhstro in partnership with Austria’s VST Verbundschalungstechnik GmbH as a co-investor.

The manufacturing equipment will be supplied, installed and fine-tuned by Germany’s Binos.

Cement bonded particle boards are touted as a cheap and eco-friendly construction material.

The new plant is located close of Belarus’ largest producer of cement – OJSC Krichevtsementnoshifer.

The estimated capacity of the new plant is 60,000 cubic metres of cement bonded particle boards a year.
