In October, production volume of Chongqing sedans is substantially in the lead nationwide, production and sale volume of motorcycle industry achieves stopping falling for the first time since this year.

Production volume of passenger vehicles in October increases by 15% on year-on-year basis.

In October of this year, production volume and sale volume of Chongqing automobiles are respectively 173,000 and 169,000, respectively increase by 9% and 28.1% on year-on-year basis, respectively 8 percentage points and 22.8 percentage points higher than the nationwide level, and production and sale volume ranks first in China. Among them, production volume of passenger vehicles rises to double-digit level, increases by 15% on year-on-year basis, 13.5 percentage points higher than the nationwide level, especially sedans, its production volume in the same month reaches 95,000, and the growth rate is substantially in the lead nationwide.

From January to October, production volume and sale volume of Chongqing automobiles are respectively 1,590,000 and 1,570,000, respectively increase by 13.1% and 13.2% on year-on-year basis, respectively 8.5 percentage points and 9.6 percentage points higher than the nationwide level. Accumulative total production and sale volume also ranks first in China. Among them, accumulative total production volume of sedans reaches 810,000.

Production and sale volume of motorcycles within the year achieves stopping falling for the first time.

In October of this year, 800,000 motorcycles are produced in Chongqing, the volume increases by 9.7% on year-on-year basis; 780,000 motorcycles are sold, the volume increases by 6.4% on year-on-year basis, respectively 25 percentage points and 23.9 percentage points higher than the nationwide level. But the situation of the whole country is: 1927,000 motorcycles are produced, 1892,000 motorcycles are sold, the volumes respectively reduce by 15.3% and 17.5%.

From January to October, in Chongqing, 7,270,000 motorcycles are produced, 7,130,000 motorcycles are sold, production volume remains flat on year-on-year basis, sale volume increases by 1%, achieves stopping falling for the first time since this year, respectively 11.9 percentage points and 12.9 percentage points higher than the nationwide level. It is understood that accumulative total production volume and sale volume of motorcycles in the whole country are 19,505,000 and 19,577,000, and both of them reduce by 11.9% on year-on-year basis.

Automobile industry moves higher after a negative start all through the year.

From the situation of this whole year, production and sale trend of automobile industry in Chongqing will move higher after a negative start. When interviewed by journalists from Chongqing Economic Times, Director of Automobile Industry Section of Chongqing Economy & IT Commission Li Zhangwan indicates, in this year, automobile industry in Chongqing will strive to make gross industrial output value of enterprises above designated size achieve RMB 370 billion, make production and sale volume of automobiles in Chongqing reach 2 million, according to overall requirements, achieve double-digit growth, and growth rate shall be higher than nationwide average level.

Influenced by multiple factors from government including macro-control, tightening monetary policy, preferential policy exit, still prominent problem of automobile product structure etc, from January to February in this year, both production volume and sale volume of Chongqing automobile industry reduce. Nevertheless, since April, growth rate in the same month of automobile sale volume in Chongqing has been more than nationwide level, and then growth rate of automobile output value continuously moves higher.

To ensure the annual target, in the fourth quarter of this year, Chongqing Economy & IT Commission will monthly convene Key Enterprises Operation Conference, to make great efforts to economic operation of 64 steadily growing key enterprises, and to ensure the continuous growth in the last two months of this year. At the same time, strengthen coordination efforts, promote Baic Yinxiang to go into operation smoothly, promote projects including Changan Yuzui Base, Second Factory of Changan Ford etc to reach target production volume, encourage enterprises to continuously raise market occupancy of new models including Focus, Honor, Xiangyue, CS35 etc, and accelerate new models including Ford Escape, Lifan 720 etc to come into market.

Automobile production volume in Chongqing accounted for 9.3% of the nationwide volume in last year, according to the Three-year Promotion Plan of Automobile Industry made by Chongqing Municipality, by 2015, production and sale volume of finished automobile in the whole city will reach 3,500,000, and nationwide market occupancy will reach 14%. This means, at that time, there will be 9,589 automobiles off production line everyday in Chongqing, hourly production volume is about 400 automobiles, and nearly 7 automobiles "made in Chongqing" will come into market in every minute on average.
