The institute named PotashCorp the recipient of its Award of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fourth year in a row, judging the company to be the best among 73 entrants in all industry sectors.
CICA also recognized PotashCorp with its Award of Excellence for Corporate Reporting in Mining, earning the highest average rankings in financial reporting, corporate governance disclosure, electronic disclosure and sustainable development reporting. PotashCorp has consistently received this award since the mid-2000s. The awards were accepted at CICA’s annual Corporate Awards Ceremony in Toronto.

Judges who evaluated PotashCorp found the company’s reporting to be clear, concise and detailed, adding PotashCorp’s annual report – both in print and online – is a model for others to follow.
“The reporting is comprehensive, intuitively organized, and easy to understand,” the judges wrote in their decision. “The annual report lays out a clear investment proposition in an easy-to-read format.”
Considered to be the most prestigious and sought-after honour for corporate reporting in Canada, CICA’s Corporate Reporting Awards have recognized the best reporting models in the country for more than 60 years.
