World Bank: Ukrainian Tax System Is in Trend
OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2012. World Bank’s experts noted: the transformation taking place in the tax area of Ukraine measures up to current world trends. This is stated in the official report on rating of Paying Taxes-2013, which was released.
The World Bank docked Ukraine in the list of the three countries, which for the past eight years, most significantly reduced the amount of time required for the fulfillment of tax obligations.
"Conducted tax reform, including the introduction of the electronic declaration system, the introduction of the unified social contribution, significantly reduced the amount of time required for tax compliance, compared with 2011, and has reduced the number of tax payments for business" - experts say.
The STS of Ukraine notes that the findings of the World Bank’s experts will be considered while the development of the program of liberalization of state tax policy.
Recall, in response to the request of the President of Ukraine on the formation of the program of liberalization of state tax policy up to 2014, the State Tax Service carries a large-scale all-Ukrainian public information campaign for the collection and compilation of proposals of entrepreneurs and the public about the simplification of administrative fees and legal conditions for the establishment of business support. Today, more than 1,500 events has been held with participation of public authorities the STS received over 5000 comments and suggestions, which are now being worked out.
