OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2012. Members of the Government together with the National Bank have discussed with Chinese investors the ability to create in Ukraine a bank with the involvement of Chinese capital.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Eduard Stavytskyi, Chairman of the National Bank Serhiy Arbuzov, Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, Head of the State Service of Geology and mineral resources Oleg Proskuryakov and others.

During the meeting the parties have discussed the possibility of receipt of investments in the banking sector of Ukraine. In particular, it was the matter of creation in Ukraine of a bank with the involvement of capital of Chinese investors and on the expand cooperation with Chinese banks.

It has been also discussed the new joint investment projects in agriculture, mining, and construction of infrastructure facilities. The Chinese side expressed interest in cooperation in the industrial sector, in the extraction of mineral resources, agriculture, construction, infrastructure, and the banking system.
