OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2012. Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko said that Ukraine intends to take part in the project of the Southern Gas Corridor, through which Caspian gas will be delivered to Europe. He said this on air of the Inter TV channel.

"The South Stream is a problem for us, because if it is implemented it will take volumes from our GTS. But yesterday I held talks in Turkey on our participation in the program of the Southern Gas Corridor - it is gas from Azerbaijan through Turkey to Europe. We have already applied, I can say this on the air, an official request to the Shah Deniz, which shows the benefits of our transportation system. Here we have a policy of launching gas through our GTS and our storage facilities to Europe. Therefore, the Russian colleagues have their own policy, and we have our own policy on this issue", Yuriy Boyko said.
