OPORA ROSSII Becomes Serious Pillar for FAS, Head of FAS
OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2012. The Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Igor Artemyev, made the above statement at the Forum / Congress of “OPORA ROSSII” National Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium Business. The event took place on 14th November 2012 and coincided with the 10-year anniversary of “OPORA ROSSII”, reported the press-centre of FAS.
The Head of FAS also pointed out that along with creating a favourable environment for developing large business, for many years “OPORA ROSSII” has been successfully promoting the rights of small and medium business.
“Today there is an enormous difference between small and large business. Year in year out the statistics does not change - 85% of complaints are filed to FAS by representatives of small and medium business. These entrepreneurs complain about infringements of their rights in the part of competition law which the Antimonopoly Service tries to restore”, said Igor Artemyev.
Mr. Artemyev also emphasized that in terms of competition the government does everything possible for normal development and functioning of small and medium business. “However, not only the law but we ourselves must resolve the problems. Therefore, the basis for successful building-up relations between business and the authorities is an effective feedback between the civil society and the government agencies. “OPORA” is a vital project for Russia; and today professional cooperation under its umbrella will inevitably lead to victory”.
FAS representatives also took part in Forum discussions: “Entrepreneurial Climate and Business Security, Demand for Products and Services of Small and Medium Enterprises”; and “Possibilities of Outsourcing and Localization”. The Forum was attended by over 800 delegates from 70 provinces of Russia.
