OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2012. In order to implement and support the projects promoting development of national segment of Internet in science, education and culture, which allow to bring up young generation of Uzbekistan in the spirit of high morals, "Uzbektelecom" JSC provides grants in the amount of 40 million sums, reported the press-centre of Uzbektelecom.

On August 9, "Uzbektelecom" joint stock company announced the second contest for receiving grants in two directions.

According to the opinion of the expert working group assessing the applications of the participants of the contest and the order of the company the following contestants received grants:

In "culture"direction:

panoramio.uz project (“Net Extensions” LLC) is provided a grant at the amount of 10 million sums.

kultura.uz project ("Tashkent House of Photography") is provided a grant at the amount of 7 million sums.

piar.uz project ("Piar media" LLC) is provided a grant at the amount of 3 million sums.

In educational direction:

vu.uz project ("Kelajak Ovozi") is provided a grant at the amount of 10 million sums.

The participant of "National Library" contest is provided a grant at the amount of 7 million sums for creating online dictionary and electronic version of encyclopedia.

The participant of "Shark Ayoli" contest is provided a grant at the amount of 3 million sums.

It should be added that in 2012, "Uzbektelecom" JSC announced two contests for grants in 4 areas: science and education, culture and entertainment, which allow to bring up young generation of Uzbekistan in the spirit of high morals, and to assist in the organization of national social networks, game portals and other content resources. The results of the first contest were announced on September 2, 2012. The total amount of grants for two contests is 100 million sums.
