Moscow Mayor Inspects New Subway Stations Construction
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2012. A Moscow government delegation led by Sergey Sobyanin, Moscow Mayor, have visited Lermontovsky Prospekt subway station construction site to inspect the work progress at the new six kilometer-long Vykhino - Lermontovsky Prospekt - Zhulebino - Kotelniki section of Taganskaya - Krasnopresnenskaya Subway Line.
The concreting operations at Lermontovsky Prospekt and Zhulebino stations are 75% completed and this indicator will be 90% by the end of the year. The left hand tunnel from Lermontovsky Prospekt to existing Vykhino station has been driven early in November, and the second tunnel boring machine is being assembled for proceeding with the driving of the right hand interstation tunnel. Meanwhile the left hand tunnel is being driven from Zhulebino station to Lermontovsky Prospekt station. The fourth tunnel boring machine will be assembled at Zhulebino station for driving the right hand tunnel. Therefore, a total of four tunnel boring machines will be in operation in Vykhino - Kotelniki section.
Sergey Sobyanin highly commended SK MOST builders and said that he is assured that Zhulebino residents would have the subway two steps away from their place by the end of the next year.
