Aeroflot Board of Directors Held Ordinary Meeting
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2012. JSC “Aeroflot” Board of Directors ordinary meeting was held chaired by Kirill Androsov.
The Board of Directors considered results of operating and financial activities of JSC “Aeroflot” for the first 9 months of 2012. The plan for the period has been fulfilled almost for all the operating figures. Demonstrating higher passenger traffic dynamics than the industry, the Company remains the leader of the Russian civil aviation. Passenger traffic of JSC “Aeroflot” standalone for the first 9 months of 2012 amounted to 13.29 mln passengers, which is 26.1% higher than for the corresponding period of 2011. Passenger turnover totaled 37,770 mln passenger-kilometers (+19.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2011). Cargo and mail carried amounted to circa 142 ths tonnes. (+26.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2011). Flight hours for the first 9 months of 2012 increased by 18% compared to the corresponding period of 2011 exceeding 343 ths hours. Effective utilization of the aircraft capacity allowed to reach 78.5% passenger load factor, which exceeds both 2011 and planned figures. According to managerial accounting data of JSC “Aeroflot” standalone operating income (RAS) for the first 9 months of 2012 is planned at 10.4 bln rubles, which exceeds figures for the corresponding period of 2011. The expected net income (RAS) is likely to amount to 11,315 mln rubles, which is 2.5 times higher than the planned figure.
The Board of Directors confirmed “KPMG” to be an auditor of JSC “Aeroflot” (Aeroflot Group) financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS for 6, 9 and 12 months of 2012. The report of the auditor on the results of review of consolidated financial statements of Aeroflot Group prepared in accordance with IFRS for the 6 months of 2012 has been taken into consideration.
During the discussion on branches and representative offices of JSC “Aeroflot” the fact that significant and increasing traffic volumes in Russia demand a consistent approach and systematization of activities of representative offices in the regions has been outlined. The Board of Directors accepted the offer from Company’s Management Board on liquidation of JSC “Aeroflot” branch in Vladivostok and opening of a representative office in this city starting from December 01, 2012. Reorganization of JSC “Aeroflot” branch in Vladivostok to a representative office is executed with the aim of further implementation of regional management structure and creation of regional representative office in Vladivostok. JSC “Aeroflot” regional representative in Vladivostok will execute overall and operational management of the representative offices in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Blagoveshchensk, Yakutsk and will be in charge of business development in the region.
