OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared with September, 2011 it decreased 11%. In January-June, 2012 production in the mining industry grew 4.1% as compared with the same period of 2011 in Moldova.

The processing industry and the energy sector (generation and distribution of electricity and heat) saw the decline of 1.7% and 3.8% respectively. In January-September, 2012 it was produced 2% more foodstuffs and beverages than in the same period in 2011. In this period production of vegetable oils and fats increased 19.8%, production and processing of meat grew 16.8%. Dairy production increased 7.8%, wine production increased by 3.9%, production of mineral water sand soft drinks increased 3.4%.

Production of medical devices, precious and optical instruments increased 1.4 times; it was produced 32.7% more electrical machines and equipment, 6.8% more textiles and 2.2% more non-metal mineral products (glass, concrete, gypsum and cement items). At the same time, in this period it was produced 31.6% less flour-grinding products, 24.2% less garments; 19.6% less tobacco goods and 19.1% less paper and cardboard. A decline made up 17.7% in the metallurgic industry, 15.8% in production of machines and equipment.

A decline made up 13.5% in processing and canning fruit and vegetables, 12.9% in the production of finished goods, except machines and equipment; 11.4% in leather and foot wear industry, 10% in the printing industry. Amounts of woodworking decreased 7.9%. Heat and hot water supply decreased 4.9%, bread and pastry production declined 4.1%, power generation and distribution decreased 3.1%, chemical production shrank 1.3%.

The National Bureau of Statistics has not provided information about volumes of production expressed in monetary terms in January -September, 2012.
