OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2012. Developing the economy, we have to concentrate on the most promising specific projects. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"I want to emphasize that the sectors, which under proper support will produce tangible results, is enough. - Mykola Azarov said. But we have to concentrate ourselves on the most promising specific projects.

According to the Prime Minister, the experts offer to determine production, the export of which is stable and significant, as well as manufacturing which can provide good import substitution.

In support of this belief the Prime Minister gave a few specific examples. So, today, domestic engineering provides approximately 12% of sold processing industry. "The development of this sector of the economy has a very good future. We are talking about high technology sector, capable to meet the demand of domestic producers of capital goods - Mykola Azarov said. - The industry has the potential of which is provided by three factors - external demand, possibilities of import substitution and domestic consumption".

According to the Prime Minister, are significant prospects and production of medical equipment, transport engineering. Thus, the potential of Ukrainian origin products only medical equipment can not only be replaced with imports, but also to expand domestic production - about 5 billion UAH. Today it is not used for 10 percent.

The overall effect of the development on the only transport engineering according to scientists could reach 6.3 billion dollars a year in 2-3 years.

"At the same time negative balance of trade will be reduced annually by USD 2 billion due to the rapid growth in exports and import substitution. And that is extremely important - it is more jobs. In today's environment - a major step forward", - Mykola Azarov said.
