Today cartel is the only economic crime defined in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as a crime committed by a group of persons.
“Cartel agreements exposed by the Federal Antimonopoly Service often have all signs of an organized group or a criminal community as defined by the criminal law”, pointed out Andrey Tenischev. “Our goal is to establish cooperation with the Ministry of Interior to make criminal prosecution and punishment of the participants of such agreements inevitable”.
