OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2012. China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CMIE) held a groundbreaking ceremony in Changsha for China Machinery International Engineering Technology R&D Center. The ceremony was attended by relevant leaders of Changsha City and Hunan Province as well as President Xu Jian and Chief Accountant Luo Jiamang of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), reported the press-centre of CMEC.  

Yang Wansheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of CMEC, attended the groundbreaking ceremony and delivered a speech. On behalf of CMEC, Mr. Yang extended his warm welcome and expressed his sincere gratitude to the provincial and municipal leaders present at the ceremony. Recognizing the importance of the R&D Center as the bridge between SINOMACH and Changsha City and Hunan Province, he indicated that he would give full support to the construction of the Center and urged CMIE to well manage the project so as to ensure the high quality and successful completion of the construction task.

In addition, the project should be taken as an opportunity to change the pattern of development, reinforce engineering-related capacity building, and improve the core competitiveness of CMEC and CMIE so as to facilitate the Hunan and Changsha’s efforts to build a resource-efficient and environment-friendly society through new industrialization, agricultural modernization, new urbanization and informatization, and contribute more to the fulfillment of SINOMACH’s long-term strategic goal of growing into a world-class enterprise with international competitiveness.

Relevant leaders of Changsha and Hunan, and SINOMACH President Xu Jian delivered speeches respectively at the signing ceremony. Lastly, all guests present at the ceremony laid the cornerstone for the R&D Center. CMEC representatives attending the ceremony included Vice President Li Chaoyang, Chief Financial Officer Zhou Yamin, General Counsel Han Ying as well as the heads of relevant departments.
