OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2012. In order to meet the increased demand during the Christmas and New Year holidays from 24 December 2012 to 8 January 2013, Russian Railways is making changes to its St. Petersburg - Helsinki - St. Petersburg high speed Allegro services and doubling the number of carriages, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.

Train number 157 St. Petersburg - Helsinki will be cancelled on 24 and 31 December, but on 29 and 30 December and on 2 January 2013 will run with double the usual number of carriages - 14 instead of 7.

Train number 157 St. Petersburg - Helsinki (in Finland – Train No. 38) departs from St. Petersburg at 20:25, arriving in Helsinki at 22:01 on the same day, with stops en route at Vyborg 21:20-21: 30 and thereafter according to the timetable of Finnish Railways: Vainikkala 19:59-20:06, Kouvola 20:45-20:47, Lahti 21:11-21:13, Tikkurila 21:46-21:47 and Pasila 21:55 -21:56).
Train number 155 St. Petersburg - Helsinki will be cancelled on 24 December 2012, but on 28 December 2012 and 3 January 2013 will run with double the usual number of carriages - 14 instead of 7.

Train No. 155 Saint Petersburg - Helsinki (in Finland – Train No. 36) departs from St. Petersburg at 15:25, arriving in Helsinki at 17:01, with stops en route at Vyborg 16:20-16:30 and thereafter according to the timetable of Finnish Railways: Vainikkala 14:59-15:06, Kouvola 15:45-15:47, Lahti 16:11-16:13, Tikkurila 16:46-16:47 and Pasila 16:55-16:56.

Train number 153 St. Petersburg - Helsinki will be cancelled on 25 December 2012, but on 29, 30 and 31 December 2012 and 1 and 2 January 2013 will run with double the usual number of carriages - 14 instead of 7.

Train No. 153 Saint Petersburg - Helsinki (in Finland – Train No. 34) departs from St. Petersburg at 11:25, arriving in Helsinki at 13:01, with stops en route at Vyborg 12:20-12:30 and thereafter according to the timetable of Finnish Railways: Vainikkala 10:59-11:06, Kouvola 11:45-11:47, Lahti 12:11-12:13, Tikkurila 12:46-12:47 and Pasila 12:55-12:56 .

Train number 151 St. Petersburg - Helsinki will be cancelled on 25 December 2012 and 1 January 2013.

Train number 151 St. Petersburg - Helsinki (in Finland – Train No. 30) departs from St. Petersburg at 06:50, arriving in Helsinki at 08:26, with stops en route at Vyborg 07:45-07:55 and thereafter according to the timetable of Finnish Railways: Vainikkala 06:24-06:31, Kouvola 07:10-07:12, Lahti 07:36-07:38, Tikkurila 08:11-08:12, Pasila 08:20-08:21.

Train number 33 Helsinki - St. Petersburg will be cancelled on 25 December 2012 and 1 January 2013, but will run with double the usual number of carriages on 6, 7 and 8 January 2013.

Train number 33 Helsinki - St. Petersburg (in Russia - Train number 152) departs from Helsinki at 05:12, arriving in St. Petersburg at 10:48, with stops en route at Pasila 5:17-5:18, Tikkurila 5 :27-5: 28, Lahti 6:00-6:02, Kouvola 6:26-6:28, Vainikkala 7:07-7:14 and Vyborg 9:39-9:44.

Train number 35 Helsinki - St. Petersburg will be cancelled on 25 December 2012.

Train number 39 Helsinki - St. Petersburg will be cancelled on 24 and 31 December 2012.

Train number 39 Helsinki - St. Petersburg (in Russia - Train No. 158) departs from Helsinki at 18:00, arriving in St Petersburg at 23:36, with stops en route at Pasila 18:05-18:06, Tikkurila 18: 15-18:16, Lahti 18:48-18:50, Kouvola 19:14-19:16, Vainikkala 19:55-20:02 and Vyborg 22:27-22:32.
