Energy Consulting Made Automated Job Profiles for TATNEFT
OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2012. Specialists of Energy Consulting has successfully completed a project on designing and filling up job and employee profiles for OJSC TATNEFT. The profiles are placed in the corporate HR Management System on the base of SAP ERP, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
The project has been implemented in order to identify and systemize key requirements to business qualities, professional knowledge and skills of employees in OJSC TATNEFT required for successful conduct of production targets.
Job profiles and employee profiles are a core tool in HR management processes and the foundation for employee performance assessment. They make the transparent requirements to it, stipulate the development benchmarks, and enable to automate and integrate HR management processes in an information system.
The project has been implemented for OJSC TATNEFT on the base of ELKHOVNEFT, one of the main oil-and-gas production divisions, with the participation of experts encompassing specialists of Company’s Executive Establishment, Engineering Center, oil-and-gas production divisions ALMETYEVNEFT and YAMASHNEFT. More than 250 common job profiles and more than 450 employee profiles have been designed within the framework of this pilot project.
The job profiles are created in all business areas of an oil-and-gas production division, including oil and gas extraction and preparation, maintenance of reservoir pressure, oil refinery and oil product output, geology, well repair, oil recovery improvement and well site construction, capital projects, economics, accounting and finance, HR management.
Elena Yurkina, Business Consulting Practice Manager of Energy Consulting: "Successful project implementation was in a large extent reliant on active participation of production managers from different divisions of OJSC TATNEFT in it. For the correct formation of job and employee profiles we held nine focus groups embraced 100 customer’s experts".
We have drafted functional design specifications for customer’s software to automate these profiles. The job and employee profiles are placed in the corporate HR Management System of OJSC TATNEFT (a SAP-based ERP solution).
