Kaspersky Lab and CROC Secure Fair Competition
OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2012. Kaspersky Lab has provided the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation with the Kaspersky Work Space Security solution for centralized protection of information networks. The implementation for 2,600 workplaces was performed by CROC, Kaspersky Lab's Enterprise Partner. The project included the transition to Kaspersky Lab's market-proven security solution for protection against all types of internet threats.
"We continue to work on expanding the use of advanced technology and developing a unified information environment for all FAS Russia units and thereby improving the effectiveness of anti-monopoly control, internal processes and interagency operations. However, this effort would be impossible without a reliable information security system," says Olga Danilyuk, Chief Specialist/Expert at the IT Administration of the Federal Antimonopoly Service. "Flexible, scalable, fully compliant with Russian legislation and with high-quality technical support services — Kaspersky Lab's software solution fully meets our expectations."
"Government agencies around the world are being attacked more and more often by cybercriminals. Which means that lax information security within the government sector can lead to irreparable damage," comments Sergey Zemkov, Managing Director, Kaspersky Lab. "We have extensive experience working with government institutions for whom information confidentiality and security is of the highest priority. Our cooperation with FAS Russia, one of the main regulators in the country, is yet more proof of how our solutions comply with the highest standards."
"The data protection ‘arms race’ never stops: as security solutions increase in reliability, the attack methods used by cybercriminals become more sophisticated," says Mikhail Bashlykov, Head of Information Security, CROC. "We witness this trend in our security solutions business: in 2011 this segment grew by 51% and CROC was the second-largest IT security market player in Russia with a 6% share according to an IDC report.”
Kaspersky Work Space Security is an optimal solution for protecting workplaces, including mobile ones, both within and outside corporate networks from all types of today's online threats: viruses, spyware, hacker attacks and spam. By controlling all incoming and outgoing data traffic on the computer (email, internet traffic and networking), the product guarantees information security for users wherever they are.
