China Crude Oil Processing Volume Up 7% in Sep
OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2012. China, the world's second-largest oil consumer, saw its oil processing volume climb 7% YoY to 38.76 million metric tons in September, according to a statement released by the National Development and Reform Commission.
In the first nine months of this year, China processed a total of 343.05 million metric tons of crude oil, 2.2% more than in the same period of last year.
Last month, China's output of refined oil products grew 9% YoY to 23.54 million metric tons, taking its output of refined oil products to a total of 207.79 million metric tons in the first nine months, 4.7% more than in the corresponding period of 2011.
China saw its investment in the oil-refining industry jump 20.6% YoY to RMB 117.5 billion in the first nine months of this year.
