OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2012. Nowadays there is an intensive dynamics of exports of agricultural products, the volume of which increased by 38% as compared to the same period last year. A significant share of exports is cereals.

In particular, in October agrarians exported 3 million tons of grain that has become a record exponent of export in one month. This was announced by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk during a briefing after a Cabinet meeting.

"We're increasing the export of agricultural products. Specifically, as compared with the previous year, exports grew by 38%. I believe that is very important. However, we continue to monitor the balance of domestic consumption and export opportunities," Mykola Prysiazhniuk informed.

The Minister stressed that a significant proportion of exports of agricultural products belongs grain crops and informed about the pace of their exports.

"As of today, we have exported 9.2 million tons of grain, currently uploaded half a million tons of grain on ships, and there is 1.2 million tons in ports. We see that the dynamics of export is an intensive. In particular, in October, we exported 3 million tons of grain - a record for the export of grain in one month. In November, exports will also be strong because since beginning of the month, 850 thousand tonnes of grain has already been exported," Mykola Prysiazhniuk pointed out.

According to the Minister, these export volumes will enable get a lot of money and emphasized it provides favorable situation on external markets.

In addition, the office head stressed there are current trend of increasing exports of corn and a slowdown in wheat export.
