OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2012. Ukrainian agrarians have delivered for processing 14 million tones of sugar beet, of which produced 1.3 million tons of sugar. Such volumes fully meet the needs of domestic consumption. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.

"According to the operative data of sulfitation factory 1.3 million tons of sugar produced in Ukraine from delivered to sulfitation factory 14 million tones of sugar beet.

Total sugar production is expected to reach 1.8 million tones, which would, in view of the carry-over at the beginning 2012/2013 marketing year, fully meet the needs of the domestic market with sugar beet of own production", - Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
