ANA to Launch San Jose=Narita Service with Boeing 787
OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2012. ANA, Japan's leading airline, will launch the San Jose=Narita, Tokyo service on Friday, January 11, 2013 with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The City of San Jose is the center of Silicon Valley and home to many of the world-renown technology corporations, including Japanese companies. Located in close proximity to downtown San Jose, the new service out of Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport will enable ANA to serve global travelers between Silicon Valley and Japan and other Asian destinations.
ANA was involved in the development of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as the launch carrier and marked the first anniversary of the Dreamliner operation on November 1, 2012. Currently, we are in possession of 16 Dreamliners and operate 12 Japan domestic routes and 3 international routes: Frankfurt=Haneda, Beijing=Haneda and Seattle=Narita. San Jose will be ANA's second Dreamliner gateway in the U.S. and the fourth international operation.
The Dreamliner offers the larger windows, lower cabin pressure and cleaner cabin air to present a comfortable travel experience to passengers. The aircraft is also known for its fuel efficiency. At the operation launch, it was anticipated that the 787 would save 20% in fuel for each international flight. ANA is pleased to confirm that the saving amounts to 21% per flight.
On Wednesday, December 5, 2012, ANA will host an event in San Jose to celebrate the service launch from 6:30 p.m. at San Jose City Hall Rotunda, 200 E. Santa Clara Street, San Jose, CA 95113. Corporate customers and travel agents are invited to find out more about the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, relax at the Dreamliner video lounge and check out the in-flight meal displays. San Jose City Mayor Chuck Reed and ANA the Americas Senior Vice President Yuji Hirako will be present at the event.
ANA continues to expend its Dreamliner operation and global network.
