OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2012. According to Secretary of State of Moldova Victor Bodiu, the means are meant to back trainings for servants of economic and regional departments, to provide wider access to financial instruments, improve regional development policies, implement pilot ENPARD projects and support farmers whose plantations suffered from the sever drought.

Initially, the sum the EU was going to assign for Moldova to finance this program for 2010-2012 was equal to 42 mln. euros. However, in June, 2012 the European Union, following the principle ”more for more” decided to provide our country with extra funds at a sum of 28 mln. euros of which 14 mln. euros are meant for the program of support for the branch policy for economic encouraging rural areas and will be disbursed next year.

3.15 mln. euros more will be granted Moldova by EU this year as the aid for overcoming fallouts of the sever drought on 2012. Initially, the commitment of the program of support for the branch policy for economic encouraging rural areas for 2012 made up 13 mln. euros. In the framework of this program Moldova received 15 mln. eur in 2010 and 10.85 mln. euros in 2011 out of 14 mln. euros, planned initially.
