OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2012. The State Customs Service takes principled position concerning assignation to the customs authorities from ports, maritime agents and lines of prior information in electronic mode for goods coming to the ports as container transport and general cargo, says in the official order of the Head of the State Customs Service Igor Kaletnik.

Information must be provided within 24 hours to receipt of goods to the port. It should include defining characteristics for the identification of goods.

The above is an international practice and serves only to simplify customs procedures for maritime transport.

Within two weeks, appropriate consultations will be held with the port authority and agency organizations.

In case of failure of these requirements cargoes will be subject unloading, absolutely inspection and other types of control, so as to fit the criteria of risky and can be regarded as subjects of desire to evade taxes.
