OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2012. TNK-BP informs that this year, for the first time in the company history, its employees will be awarded Professional Commitment bonus. Approximately 213 million rubles will be set aside for this purpose, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The idea of introducing such an award belongs to TNK-BP employees. The bonus is aimed at workers and entry-level line managers in the operational units who have worked for at least 10 years within the TNK-BP perimeter. As of 2012, about 21% of the personnel working in all the operational units of the company (7900 people) fall within these criteria.

TNK-BP has a multilevel employee reward and incentive system based on the world best practices. Apart from the traditional year-end bonuses, TNK-BP elaborated a whole complex of bonuses and payments to encourage high performance and business activity of its employees. For instance, the company has incentives in place for operational and business excellence, bonuses for winners of research-to-practice conferences, spot bonuses to recognize special achievements, awards for theft prevention, etc.

In 2012, about 25% of the company's total payroll will be allocated to payment of bonuses and incentives.

"The company aims to expand the existing practices and create new incentive and motivation programs; over the past five years the overall payments fund increased by more than 50%. We are prepared for an open dialogue with each company employee and ready to consider new socially-oriented proposals," said Andrey Yanovsky, TNK-BP Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development.
