Belarusbank Held International Conference for Partners and Customers
OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2012. More than 120 representatives of banks, insurance agencies and companies from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Belarus participated in the conference. In the course of the conference reports were given by the First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Amarin, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus Taras Nadolny, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Belarusbank Vladimir Novik, Managing Director of AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft m.b.H. (Germany) Rudiger Eggert, Deputy Chairperson of Banca Popolare di Vicenza S.C.p.A. (Italy) professor Marino Breganze, Senior Relationship Manager of Commerzbank AG (Germany) Holger Kautzky, etc.
The keynote speech was given by Vladimir Novik - Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Belarusbank. The subject of the report was "Belarusbank: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow". In his report Vladimir Novik reflected the major milestones of Belarusbank's establishment and development, its achievements in the local and international markets, as well as its short-term strategy.
Within the framework of cooperation with foreign banks in the last 10 years, USD 2.5 billion were attracted to finance long-term investment projects and USD 6.6 billion - to support trade financing. The major investment projects were introduced to the conference participants.
This event became a platform for meetings and interchange of views for Belarusian and European business circles represented by the largest exporters and importers: JSC "Grodno Azot", JSC "Lakokraska", JSC "BMZ", JSC "Mozyr OR", JSC "Belshina", JSC "Amkodor", JSC "Mogilevkhimvolokno", JSC "Gomeldrev", Stotz Agro-Service GmbH & Co. KG, Dieffenbacher, Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH, MAVEG Industrieausrustungen GmbH, CLAAS, Thyssen Krupp Uhde GmbH, RIKO, etc.
Within the framework of the conference, Belarusbank signed a Cooperation Agreement with Banca Popolare di Vicenza S.C.p.A. (Italy), Framework agreement with AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft m.b.H. (Germany), as well as a set of agreements on financing of German equipment supplies to the Republic of Belarus.
The conference showed a constantly high interest of European business to the Republic of Belarus and, in particular, to Belarusbank, and became another evidence of the Bank's leading positions in the Belarusian market.
