Raiffeisen Bank Aval Named Best Bank in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2012. For the second time, Raiffeisen Bank Aval has been awarded Best Local Bank in Ukraine according to the results of the Eurasian Bank Survey, conducted by the magazine Business New Europe (bne) for the sixth year running. The Bank received the award for the first time in 2010.
The publisher has awarded best banking institutions at Eurasia markets based on estimates of analysts, experts and representatives of ranking agencies in the region. In their estimates they took into account not only the financial results of the banks, but also the efficiency of their growth strategies.
Business New Europe (bne) was set up in 2006. It is an English-language publication that covers economics and politics in 30 countries, including those of Central and Eastern Europe and CIS. Publications of bne are meant for investors, ranking agencies, governments, investment banks, asset management companies and other financial providers in Europe and the whole world.
Raiffeisen Bank Aval was founded in March 1992 (till 25 September, 2006 it has operated under the name of Aval JSC). It takes leadership position in Ukraine’s market in terms of a number of core parameters. In 2005, Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG, Austria (since October 2010 — Raiffeisen Bank International AG) purchased a stake of 93.5% in the bank.
Raiffeisen Bank Aval is a universal bank, which offers a wide range of standard and innovative services to about 3.1 million clients through its all-Ukraine network of 825 business outlets.
