SK MOST Started Construction of Kotelniki Subway Station in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2012. Units of SK MOST Group of Companies have deployed construction operations in October to start operations in another section of Moscow subway Taganskaya - Krasnopresnenskaya Line, from Zhulebino station to Kotelniki station. The new section will be approximately 780-meter long. Therefore, there is a total of 6 kilometers of the new construction section between Vykhino station and Kotelniki station within the SK MOST Group of Companies contract area.
A construction site has been deployed in the area of Marshal Poluboyarov Street and Novoryazanskoe Highway junction in the city of Kotelniki near Moscow, where the new subway station will be erected by the end of 2013. Kotelniki station will be built in an open pit. The station system length will be about 430 meters, and the turnabout siding will also be about 430-metert long.
A pilot excavation pit for tunnel boring machines is being prepared in Zhulebino. The builders are driving drilled piles and putting in place a cap beam. The left and right interstation tunnels leading to Kotelniki station will be driven one after the other using Herrenknecht S-736 Tunnel Boring Machine.
