Chisinau Airport Carries New Record-Breaking Number of Passengers
OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2012. In particular, in January-October, 2012 the airport served 1050817 passengers, surmounting the passenger traffic indicator for the last year and exceeding 16.24% the indicator of the same period of 2011.
The most popular destinations of the first 10 months of 2012 were Moscow (25.29%), Istanbul (11.77%), Antlaya (10.15%), Verona (6.39%), Munich (5.69%) Rome (4.4%), Milan (4.34%) and Bucharest (4.26%). In October, 2012 the passenger traffic made up 101996 people in the Chisinau’s airport, 16.06 % up as compared with indicators of last October.
In October, 2012 the greatest growth of the traffic fell to the following destinations: Paris (+251%), Verona (+43.76%), Bucharest (+42.74%), Munich (+42.7%), Rome (+41%) Antalya (+31.01%) and Moscow (23.7%).
The most asked-for destinations in October, 2012 were Moscow (28.52%), Istanbul (12.04%), Munich (6.83%), Antlaya (6.7%), Verona (6.53%) and Bucharest (5.13%). The Chisinau Airport International is the main gateway of Moldova.
