OREANDA-NEWS. November 8, 2012. When choosing an enterprise-level security solution, it’s not just the product features that need to be taken into account but factors such as its effectiveness, ease of deployment, cost and even vendor reputation. To help companies choose security software that meets all their business needs, the experts at Info-Tech Research Group conducted a survey of the leading anti-malware vendors and their corporate solutions. The survey resulted in Kaspersky Lab being awarded ‘Champion’ status and its solution Kaspersky Business Space Security receiving the Best Overall Value Award.

Info-Tech Research Group collected information on 10 major vendors and the solutions they offer to secure corporate IT infrastructure. The analysts warned that workstations, laptops, tablets and smartphones are all now prime targets for cybercriminals, and companies need to take all the necessary measures to ensure their security.

Each vendor was evaluated on a number of criteria, primarily the company’s viability, the presence of a future product roadmap, a vendor channel strategy, product reach and technical support. Thanks to the strong showing by Kaspersky Lab in the Info-Tech survey, the company received ‘Champion’ status from the research group’s experts.

When it came to evaluating the corporate security solutions, the most important criteria were functionality and usability. According to these parameters, Kaspersky Business Space Security demonstrated an excellent result, with the experts characterizing the solution as flexible and making special mention of its ability to support a variety of desktop and mobile platforms, as well as Kaspersky Security Center – a centralized console for managing corporate security.

In addition, the Info-Tech Research Group experts compared the functionality results for each product with its total cost of ownership in order to calculate a Value Index. Kaspersky Lab’s corporate solution received the highest ratio index, making it the most cost-efficient for customers, and earning it a well-deserved Best Overall Value Award.

Commenting on the results of the survey, Alexander Erofeev, Kasperksy Lab’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “Receiving ‘Champion’ status is an acknowledgement of the company’s strong footing in the corporate security market and in many ways makes it a benchmark for other vendors. We are also very pleased to win the Best Overall Value Award, which is recognition of both the high quality and reasonable price of our corporate solution.”
