OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2012. The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) has signed a contract with international payment system Diners Club, reported the press-centre of IBA.   

At the contract signing ceremony IBA first deputy chairman Emil Mustafayev has informed that presentation of acquiring services on Diners Club card in the local market has several advantages.

"Work on development of tourism in Azerbaijan has been under way for the last few years. Our country organizes a lot of international events involving guests from different countries, who are holders of cards Diners Club. From now our countries’ visitors will be able to make payments in POS-terminals operating in Azerbaijan and cash money at ATMs," Mustafayev emphasized.

The Diners Club’s director for Europe and the Middle East, Jean Francois Paul, says that 35% of the payment system turnover accounts for countries of the Pacific region, Europe and Asia, to which Azerbaijan relates to.

"Our research of card payments market has shown that the owners of our cards use 2-fold more them for payments, as Diners Club has the most extensive network of partners, designed for different segments of the population. Our payment system is also actively pursuing the bonus campaigns for its customers that also contribute to increased interest in cards Diners Club. Today, our cards are accepted for payment in 450 airports worldwide.

Diners Club has over 100,000 corporate clients, among which are governmental agencies and large corporations and companies that are able to use a full range of management cost decisions that allows them to track the costs of their employees and their travel expenses. We also give to our clients the card of payment system Discover, considered a system providing the highest quality financial services," Mr. Paul said.
