Belarusian Olivaria Beer Output Reduced 13.3%/yr in Jan-Sep 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. November 7, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Olivaria, a brewery based in the city of Minsk, produced 5.853 million decaliters of beer in January-September 2012, a decrease of 13.3% on the year, a representative in Belgospischeprom concern told reporters.
In September alone the company produced 403,000 decalitres of beer, down 47.1% on the year.
Beer offering in plastic bottles decreased 12.8% to 4.368 million decaliters, in glass bottles decreased 27.5% to 1.03 million decaliters, and in kegs increased 8.2% to 291,000 decaliters. Beer offering in cans reached 164,000 decaliters (up 3.1 times).
Olivaria beer sales on the domestic market decreased 11.9% on the year in January-September 2012 to 6.173 million decaliters.
The brewery exported 294,200 decaliters of beer in January-September 2012, up 64.1%.
Olivaria was founded in 1864 and transformed into a joint stock company in 1994. Olivaria became part of Carlsberg A/S in May 2008.
