OREANDA-NEWS. November 6, 2012. The top-managers of TITAN-2 Holding’s subsidiary – JSC TITANENERGOREMONT took part in the International Conference "New and Modern Technologies of Power Equipment Diagnostics and Repair, Best Practices Exchange, Experience of Repair and Personnel Training Organization."

The event was held from October 16 to October 18 at St. Petersburg branch of the Central Institute of Advanced Training, the representatives of Russian and foreign companies participating in it.

The Conference was organized on the basis of the "Maintenance and Repair of Nuclear Power Plant Equipment" Chair and was devoted to the topical issues related to planning of power equipment maintenance and repair work, review of modern technologies and repair equipment, specific aspects of maintenance personnel training .

During the Conference, such issues were discussed as the strategy of repair plant, repair method using the plant's own resources or that made on the contractual basis, assessment of maintenance personnel performance efficiency, the issues of security culture in repair activity, assessment of whether it is expedient to reduce the preventive maintenance timeframes, the requirements to competencies of the maintenance personnel and to the system of their training and a lot of other issues.

Participation in the international conference is of great practical use for JSC TITANENERGOREMONT. In accordance with the contract made with Atomenergoremont JSC, the company specialists are to repair equipment of power units and BOP equipment at Balakovo NPP, Kalinin NPP, Kursk NPP, Leningrad NPP, Novovoronezh NPP, Rostov NPP, and Smolensk NPP. And it was at the Conference that the best practices of the project engineers, power equipment manufacturers, operation and maintenance personnel in organizing and performance of maintenance and repair were discussed, as well as different aspects of engineering support to maintenance and repair, using new technologies and equipment in repair.
